Microneedling
$125-450 PER SESSION
The Dermapen® is a microneedling device that tightens, lifts, and rejuvenates the skin. Microneedling is similar to acupuncture in that it uses tiny needles to penetrate the skin, but unlike acupuncture, micro-needling is specifically designed to reduce skin blemishes, such as acne scars, wrinkles, fine lines, stretch marks, and more.
Microneedling has been used in Europe for decades, and Dermapen® was introduced in the United States in 2010. These treatments are also known as collagen induction therapy (CIT) and fractional microneedling.
Intense Pulsed Light (PHOTOFACIAL)
First the good news- PIH is not truly a scar and will go away with time or quite quickly when treated with acne scar treatments such as IPL or chemical peels and topical skin lighteners applied daily!
Post-acne redness or PIH is the skins natural response to inflammation. PIH develops when a stimuli such as an acne breakout causes inflammation, which triggers the skin to produce too much melanin (aka pigment) as a protective measure. This pigment is produced in excess causing a red, purple or brown spot to be left behind weeks to months after a breakout has healed. PIH is typically caused by pustular and hormonal inflammatory acne.
One of the best acne scar treatments for PIH is an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) due to its ability to target and lighten pigment that is darker than the surrounding skin color. Keep in mind, the IPL is only appropriate for light to medium skin types.
(If you have darker skin with PIH, your best option is MicroNeedling and Chemical Peels. Your Esthetician will make a recommendation on the best peel for you.)

Acne Chemical Peels
At Natural Skincare & Acne Clinic, acne is our specialty- we perform over 5,000 acne chemical peels a year! We also have a 95% success rate clearing people in Denver and the surrounding area for 10+ year. While an Acne Peel is a great treatment, if you have moderate to severe inflamed acne, please see our page about our 12-week Acne Program.
Depending on whether you have Inflamed or non-inflamed acne, what acne chemical peel you get done to your skin will vary. Remember inflamed acne is very sensitive. Therefore, you will want something that will kill bacteria and reduce inflammation, while being gentle at the same time.
Non-inflamed acne skin is quite resilient, can tolerate, and actually needs a stronger peel. The key to getting rid of non-inflamed acne is exfoliation! Acne chemical peels paired with extractions is the ideal treatment.
LED Light Therapy
While lasers have been used for many years to treat skin problems like acne and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, research is showing that non-laser lights provide similar benefits without the downtime, expense or pain. LED light therapy for acne is being used increasingly as an alternative to the more-expensive laser treatments.
For treatment of inflamed acne and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (redness left behind after a breakout), blue light is primarily used. Blue light is a spectrum of light (wavelength of 415 nanometers) that is used to treat acne-related skin conditions and researchers are discovering many other health benefits of LED Light Therapy such as pain relief.
In treating skin conditions, blue light therapy is effective with those areas on, or just underneath, the surface of the skin. LED Light Therapy for acne is very safe with no risk of side effects.
Blue light therapy for acne has a natural photodynamic therapy (PDT) effect. In some cases, high-intensity blue light is combined with a photosynthesizing (light-sensitive) drug. The light source activates the drug, producing a form of oxygen that kills nearby cells.
Acne Light Therapy
At Natural Skincare & Acne Clinic, we use the Clareon Acne Light for individuals struggling with mild/moderate to severe inflamed acne in conjunction with our Holistic Acne Program. This acne treatment modality offers a promising solution for those seeking faster relief from active breakouts. By combining cutting-edge technology with personalized care, you can achieve a radiant complexion and reclaim control over your skin journey.
We use the Clareon IPL (intense pulsed light) which is a non-invasive light therapy that can treat acne. It uses light energy to target acne-causing bacteria and improve skin tone.
